Butterfly Windmills power up the beauty of the Dubai Miracle Garden. Their floral theme, colors, massive size and scattered positions all just beautify the Miracle Garden. In fact; these Butterfly Windmills conveys the message of nature, love, spirituality, magic, elegance, joy and peace etc. They also give an impression that the Dubai Miracle Garden is running all green through these Butterfly Windmills. Furthermore; these Butterfly Windmills also correlates with the Butterfly Garden which is a subsidiary of Dubai Miracle Garden that offers real butterflies. The original concept of Butterfly Windmills was first introduced by a Russian surrealist named as Vladimir Kush and the Dubai Miracle Garden was quick to give it a floral reality at its premises.
Butterfly Windmills are part of the fourth version of the Dubai Miracle Garden. Butterfly Windmills were first introduced in 2016 and they are still on display at the Garden (As of 2017). Although; there were windmills at the Miracle Garden before 2016 and they did look spectacular, but the concept of the Butterfly Windmills and its attraction is a step ahead. In fact, these Butterfly Windmills are the enhanced version of the previous Windmills of the Dubai Miracle Garden. It will not be wrong to say that the Butterfly Windmills are same as previously launched Windmills, except for their four blades which are replaced as a whole with a butterfly sculpture as their blades.
All of the Butterfly Windmills are decorated with Petunia Flowers. Butterfly Windmills have Petunia Flowers grown on their tower section and the head section. About 90% of the art related objects at the Dubai Miracle Garden are decorated with the Petunia Flowers. There are six columns of Petunia Flowers on its tower section. Each column has its own color of Petunia Flowers. The colors which have been witnessed so far include red, purple, blue, white and pink. Some columns are also spotted with mixed white and pink Petunia Flowers. The head section (also called gear box) of the tower has mixed colored Petunia Flowers i.e., pink and white, white and purple etc. The only thing of the Butterfly Windmill where there are no flowers is the butterfly (blades section) itself. The base of the Butterfly Windmill is surrounded by Blue/White Verbena Flowers.
The tower of the Butterfly Windmill is around 12 feet long. However; the actual height of the Butterfly Windmill including the butterfly wings at the maximum height is around 14 to 15 feet height. It should also be noted that the base of the Butterfly Windmill is already 5 feet high from the ground level of the Miracle Garden. The width of the tower at its base is around 8 feet in diameter while width at its top is around 4 feet. The towers of the Butterfly Windmills are cone-shaped and that's why the diameter size at the base is bigger and it begins to reduce towards to the top. The average column width for Petunia flowers on the tower is around one and a half feet wide. Butterfly sculpture on each windmill is spread across a diagonal length of 7 feet.
All the Butterfly Windmills are well structured for keeping up their maintenance and plantation. They are designed and structured in such a way that flowers can easily be grown over them and when their lifecycle completes they can easily be disposed-off. Even after disposing off the flowers the structure underneath are ball-shaped objects which still look attractive to be displayed. Therefore; even without the flowers the overall theme remains intact. The whole butterfly which serves as blades of the Windmill is attached to a grilled frame which is firmly attached to the tip of the tower. The butterfly is somewhat 3D without flowers and it just requires painting maintenance at maximum as no flowers are planted over it.
Butterfly Windmills are highly popular among the visitors of the Dubai Miracle Garden. They are indexed very high within the photography statistics of the Miracle Garden. Butterfly Windmills are equally popular in adults, kids, men and women. They also remind people that there is also a Butterfly Garden along with the Miracle Garden. The only problem with photography of Windmills is that if you stand too much closer to them; some sculptures come in the way. In order to get the best photograph of the Butterfly Windmills, you should move near the clock section of the Dubai Miracle Garden and from there you can take the photograph of at least 3 butterfly Windmills within the frame of the picture. You can also take a perfect selfie from the same clock section area for these Butterfly Windmills.
